Problem with starting...
I have been having problem with starting my 94 Integra lately. This morning as I was about to go to work I tried starting the car but all I hear was one click. I tried turning the key again and again one click but the start motor would not turn. I did this a couple more time and on the fifth time it cranked and the motor fired like usual. So after work I went to Sears and bought myself a new battery because mines was about 5 years old already. After installing it, the samething happened again. What do you guys think? Is it the starter on the way out? Thanks
Was the motor turning over? Was the starter actually spinning the flywheel?
If it was, and you replaced your battery, your starter might be on it's way out. Try this little test. Next time it doesn't work, hit the top (end of the cylinder...hit it TOWARD the motor) with a good hard hit. Try starting it again, if it starts....then your starter is starting to go.
If your car IS turning over, then you have to slowly diagnose the problem. Are you gettin spark? Fuel? Etc.....

My motor was not turning. All I hear when I turn the key is one click and then silence. When I turn the key again, click and then silence. Do it a couple more time and the starter will suddenly turn and start the engine.
Doesn't sound like the battery... Only because the battery would get progressivly worse... You're saying it starts after a couple tries... After it's started does it run good? if so, it's probably your starter... Ganna need to replace that ish...

How's that gonna fix anything?
At least put a hammer on it.

that "click" you're hearing is the solenoid popping the little gear on the starter motor out. The problem is the motor itself is not spinning it on the flywheel.... starter motors aren't too hard to come by, just pick one up from autozone or something.
