hey, I own a 1994 acura integra ls, and i have been having some issues with my anti-lock brakes. When i start the car up in the morning, sometimes the abs buzzes and sometimes it doesn't.
When the abs light is on , my brakes are fine and work with no problems. When the abs light is not on, when i come to a stop the brakes skip about 3-4 times before i can stop. In the past week it has gotten really worse. anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with it?

 

When was the last time you checked the fluid?
What do you mean skipped?? Are you having to pump the peddle? Does the peddle go to the floor slowly when pushed. Or do you mean the ABS engages way early?

 

just checked the fluid todays, it between about the min. and the max. when i engage the brakes to stop it seems like there not cathching "they grind" and make a very loud noise(it only happens when i come to a complete stop). im gonna throw some more fluid in there tommorow.

 

Sounds like you might not have any pads left. Have you checked those? Metal on metal is not a good thing. The further down the pads get the worse the peddle feel.

 

then why would the bas be involved, when the lights on there fine, when the lights off there no good?

You say you have a grind but you wont go check the pads...one thing at a time.

I have similar symptoms on my car. I have a bad LR wheel sensor which has a high impedance. I received codes 4-8 and 5-8. Did you pull your ABS codes?

 

No, how would that be done?

What were the stored ABS codes? You most likely have a faulty sensor. The codes will tell you which sensor is the problem.
