Oxidation on 94/95 Integras.
Is is just me or do I notice that MANY 94-95 Integras have oxidations problems. I seen so many 94-95 Integras with the hood, roof-top and, and trunk oxidating and paint just faded. I waxed my car once a month (*sometimes twice*) and it still doesn't help. I repainted my roof top, my hood, and now the pillars & trunk is oxidating like hell!
My friend who has a 96 Integra(*bought new*) doesn't have the problem and he parks his car outside 24/7 and the area he lives in is hot as hell. He waxes his car like once a year!

Well im not sure if it's year specific but my 94 gsr is definitely a victim. Milano red + texas sun = notorious for paint fade.
I rummaged through my hd and found an old pic of my hood. Half untreated, the other half treated with Klasse All-In-One. It is two bottle set - an acrylic polish and a sealant glaze. The stuff works well on oxidation as you can see (I only did one pass before taking the shot). The stuff claims to last ~6 months per application. My experience it starts to wear in about 3 months but it could be because I only did one layer of the sealant glaze or possibly the climate conditions... I dont know. You can do several layers of the glaze and it will make the treatment last longer and will look even more glossy/reflective.
I had to buy the stuff online. Just do a search on google for klasse aio. hth

94, black, and oxidizing badly. It seems like it all started at one time. At the begining of this summer to this sping it just started and is prgressing badly. i also waxed on a very regular basis, 162K miles. What to do??

oxidation here, but it's on a white car, so it's not too noticable. I got rid of most of it by going over the whole car with dishwasher soap, then 2 or 3 coats of nufinish (to remove oxidized paint), then washed it again with dishwasher soap, then eagle one wax-as-you-dry, then 2 coats of zymol carnauba wax. I'm happy with the results.
im having the same problem. i have a 94 black gsr. about 8 months ago the roof started fading pretty bad. now the hood is starting, is there anything to do besides a new paint job to fix it up?
can't say I have that problem on my '95.
but then again, I park it in a garage at home and also at work, so its been sheltered most of its life.
and its way overdue for a nice wax job. :-/

no problems as well on my 94 GSR...w/ 160k on the orig motor and body......never been repainted!!!! If i look closely, i do see some slight oxidation, but nothing noticeable. WHITE RULES!
I had pretty serious oxidation on my 94 on the roof area until I tried some 3M Perfect-It Glaze, which seemed to cure a lot of the oxidation. For the remaining bits, I think I'll need a more abrasive rubbing compound.

Same for my '94 Milano Red GS-R. Of course, keeping it garaged and giving it a nice coat of Zymol Japon a couple of times a year both help. Zymol

I've lost most of the clear coat on my hood and top. I have to keep a good coat of wax on them just to make it look good. The rest of the car looks great. Oh yea, mine's white so it doesn't look bad at all for a 94
Hood and wing are the only bad parts on my car. But if I spend time washing/waxing by hand (good ole carnauba turtle wax), the rest of the car looks new.
you cacks just need to take care of your car better or use a different wax. my 95 integra looked like it was off the showroom floor paint wise last year. sure it had a few scratches and some dings but the paint itself was in excellent condition, not even a hint of oxidation or rust

Yea, but not everybody has access to parking in a garage and stuff like that. My car has sat outside everyday of it's life since I've had it (almost 5 years). I keep a good coat of wax on it every month.

my white 95 teg was ivory when i bought her. Heavy Oxidation, probalby due to neglect. certain colors show oxidation more than others.
After a professional detail job and the periodic claybar/ cleaner/ sealant/ wax detailing, its looking almost as good as new for the last 3 years.
People ask all the time if the car has been repainted.
