One touch window switch
it was a DIY in the audi forums....so i'm sure we can do it too (for the one touch up driver side) it required sodering something...pretty simple...
Both of my windows go down and up with one touch. When I got my alarm installed, I got the remote window opening and closing with it too. With push of a button either with a remote control or the switch on the driver side, they go down and up.

what about splicing into a wire and have power threw a switch to the wire to make it go up till its up then hit the switch off so no more power to it , i want the sunroof / and both windows for the auto up , auto down that would be HOT

I think its a lot simpler (still a lot of wire work however) to install the window modules made by alarm companies. I have a second generation "Clifford Smart Windows" in my teg like what the other guy who posted probably has. What it can do:
1. 1 touch open
2. 1 touch close
3. retains manual controls like stock
4. auto closes windows when you arm the alarm (you also have the option for it not to close the windows too, this is chosen when you press how to arm your car with the alarm remote. So this is not a either or option - you have both and decide when you arm the car)
5. rolls down both windows with the alarm remote
6. cracks the windows 1"-2" after arming the car alarm
7. will not crush anything blocking the window when closing, so if someone gets their arm stuck in there while closing the window will stop going up and stop.
this is to a basic $150 range alarm system... NOT a fancy 14 function alarm that has multple shift keys on the remote.
I think if you're gonna mess with your windows this wuould be worth the trouble. Unless you are just looking for some fun with wires over a weekend and bragging rights.

Wow.....I would have figured most peeps would have this feature on their cars already. I've had it since 94 when I put my alarm in. Works just like Black-LS said. I would think it's standard with most alarms by now. No need for any messy wiring.

I had one as a loaner car and am pretty sure it has auto up. I know the TL's do. They're kinda like elevator doors, when they hit something, they're supposed to go back down.

But, its still cost added to cars. In a standard powre window switch, you have a switch and some relays, with Anti-Pinch requirements, you have a microcontroller, software, tons of calibration work.. its a lot more work that it seems to meet the government regulations.
Sad fact is it all costs money. Right now, the automakers are bleeding, and trying to cut cost anywhere they can. If they save $20 by not including it, then a manager gets a bigger bonus. Hell, I am the electronics designer for these windowlift systems, and if I can find a way to save 1 cent from my design, I am having a good day.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Hagger.... I can't stop laughing after seeing what you wrote. I am not laughing at you. I am laughing at the way Detroit do things. If I remember correctly, auto up has been in VW for years. I believe the new Accord and TSX also has it. Lexus has it. It is not coming in the near future, it is already here
Just that Detroit needs more time than all others as usual.
And then there is the $20 saving and the bonus for the manager. Detroit big 3 keeps on doing that and their cars never improve. They don't seem to understand that they need to improve their car in order to get more sales. At the way they are doing things, only those die hard big 3 lovers will keep on buying detroit made.
I think you must be really mad when you work for them knowing the way they do things don't make good cars...
BTW, do you drive an Integra? Do they do stupid things to your Integra? Since they hate Honda so much. My uncle works for Ford. He is forced to drive Ford. He used to drive a Volvo back in 94 when Volvo was still not a part of Ford. And those idiots at the Ohio plant bent his license plate. dent his car and kicked his bumper. They also had a seperate parking lot for Ford made and all other made. I wonder why nobody sue them for discrimination yet.

My wife's Passat has auto up and down for both front windows. Also one-turn open and close for the moonroof.</TD></TR></TABLE>
and she only has them because VW has sensors to detect items in the way of the window closing. my g/f has an '03 VW and i've stuck my hand in the window and moonroof on purpose to see if it works. it does.
if it didn't have those sensors, the safety regs wouldn't allow you to have one touch up.

It is actually pretty simple,All you need is a dei 530T and you will have one-touch up and down on drivers and passenger windows. Parts and labor should be around $100 . IM if you have any more ?'s

There is already auto down and up systems right now on several Honda models. The Pilot, gen2 CRV's, and new Oddessy to name a few.
Most auto down(and up for that matter) use a seperate communtator bar on the motor itself that the control module "counts" to know when it traveled it's total distance or jammed, and stopped. The systems that feature auto up as well, have to be "rehomed", because they actually do count the turns of the motor to know when the full close and full open have been achieved, versus the old systems just veryifying a pulse from the motor.
I am going to look at an etm for an integra and see how the system is doing it and get back to you guys
