one simple question...
I've searched a million times, not only on this board but others as well. I need a definitive answer.
If i only put the gs-r oil pump (not water pump), which timing belt do i need? The people at DRT (fastest HOndas at englishtown), told me if im doing the very minimum, i have to change the oil pump. i've read numerous lsvtec writeups and all of them say its a recomendation, but if the people that know how to build hondas the best, tell me i need a oil pump, what belt do i use? im asking you guys because i neglected to ask at the shop and i need an answer quickly. tia

LS engine.
LS head.
LS waterpump.
GSR oil pump.
Is that what you mean? If so, use the LS timing belt. I believe the only difference between the oil pumps is the bypass valve of the GSR pump is set for a slightly higher oil pressure.

the only time you have to worry about a belt is when you use a
vtec water pump
the pulley has more teeth so you need a vtec belt
hope this helps
just be carefull for the crooks that hang around DRT..
