An oil with a viscosity of 5w30 is prefered for improved fuel economy and year-round protection of your Acura. You may use a 10w30 oil if the temperature in your area never goes below 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C).

i had my car for 4 months and i used 10w30 synthetic but it ate oil.. about half a quart every 700 miles.. just the ohter day.. i put in 10w40.. i hope putting a higher grade oil will prevent my engine from eating it...

also... i have a 94 gsr with 150k miles. my friend mechanics told me higher milage engines should use a lil higher grade oil..
