oil pump problem?
hey guys, i just got a 95 4-door gs-r. i've always been a dsm guy, but i wanted something that didn't break every other day. i'm on a pretty steep honda learning curve, but a friend of mine told me that the gs-r oil pumps have some kind of problem above 9-9,500 rpm's? is there any truth to this? i can get my ecu reprogrammed for $100 and i was going to change my rev limiter and vtec x-over points but now i'm not sure.
thanks in advance

do you plan to be in that range most of the time?
most of us here know the limit to our cars cause at a certain point
the engine stops making power.
not only that you only need to rev that hard once in a while..

i've been in vtec quite a bit since i got the car, it's fun to have something that revs, i just didn't want to raise my rev limiter and have my oil pump quit working
