Hey guys, I'm about to do a JDM type r motor swap into my car and I'm doing the research I need before I begin the process. I know that I need a harness to convert from OBDI to OBDII. But then I just realized that there are OBD2a and OBD2b. Do JDM type r engines run on a OBD2a or OBD2b ECU? SHould I buy the OBDI to OBD2a or OBD2b? Thanks all

 

96-01 JDM ECUs are OBD2A

what year is your car?
year of the B18C you are getting?
need more info.

Search key is your friend and you should really use it

to put the vtec ecu in your non-vtec chassis, you'll either have to run some wires yourself or buy a harness that is pre-made for that conversion.
