Noobe needs help me please !
Hey whats up the name is Idan I own a 99 gs leather I just converted it to a JDM B18C GSR with ITR/Kaaz LSD tranny. The problems im having is that I have no speedo nor VTEC engaugment, the wierd thing is my ecu is chipped & has the vss turned off to the point where it wouldnt affect the vtec. I used the stock B18B harness & had a legit pigtail made to run the VTEC wire & oil pressure switch along with ground, I have a usdm obd2 dizzy on it now & still no help, Ive tried switching out speed sensors, ecus, clusters JDM & USDM aswell as dizzy's too I have 2 JDM obd2 dizzy's & the 1 USDM, on my set up I have a freshly rebuilt 96 jdm gsr engine with skunk2 tuner 2 cams with stock cam gears, ITR 98 spec 4-1 header with test pipe JDM, dual valve springs & retainers, AEM FPR & RAIL, H22A4 injectors, ACT streetlight flywheel, chipped obd 1 ECU with Jumper, please any help greatly appreciated, car runs & drives fine just no speedo & no VTEC
Your problem most likely lies between your moded harnes and ecu, i would run a obd2 gsr harness to make it simpler because i believe you didnt wire the vtec and other wires correctly, thats why you have no vtec juice!, second what do you mean the ecu was set to have the vss off thats dumb why would you not want to know your speed your going thats why theres no speedo lol!
Is the ecu tunned to the motor?? or is it a base map burned for the setup you have like the injectors and header ect.. or is it a cheasy chipped ecu like the ones on ebay spoon sk2 mugen ect..with a 9,000 rpm redline and lower vtec engagment ect.. because if its any of the second or third than i would say the ecu cant either run the motor and or the injectors right or its running in limp mode try reseting it and check to see if your wiring job on the harness has continuity going through as well as no crimps.

Its a p75 obd 1 ls auto ecu converted to VTEC changed to manual with a TYPE R tune with VTEC set to crack @ 5700 the rev lim 9200 no launch & the vss isnt NOT set to read speed its just chipped to not have to work with one another supposidly I know the ecu works cause dude plugged it in his TYPE R powered Delsol & it cracked super hard as for the dizzy I bought the 2nd & 3dr for $100 & $125 the USDM one today infact ya ill sell it 4 what I paid

& the guy that chips my ecus & makes jumper harness's & pigtails said my car is wired properly, imma check my valve lash & timing next
I just installed my larger diameter USDM speed sensor & sure enough I have speedo now Im thinking when HMO warrantied the tranny they through a cusco or some other type of clutch pack type viscos any idea why vtec feels super weak or maybe partially engauging valve adjustment maybe ?
