Under harder acceleration? Sounds like detonation.

I would start with getting a valve adjustment, and if that doesnt help you can try other options.

You totally scared everyone with that last response...not the place to ask when u change oil lol...
firstly get to a mechanic and get a valve adjustment and and possibly check your throttle body (clean it)
change oil every 4000km or earlier depending on how hard u drive. use w.e oil u want. i use Castrol

Its probably not this because it would be more of a knocking than ticking but check your oil level... if its low that could be your problem

but I say valves also

most likely vavles. Need a valve adjustment. Its often the result of mis-shifting or revving too high.

LOL you need to adjust for the proper valve lash. its common for honda engines to get that ticking noise after so many miles...i dont mean so many by alot i mean so many as in certain amount.

im pretty sure if you search on here you might find a DIY on valve adjustment, if you dont wanna do it yourself, then pay a shop to do it, it definatly shouldnt be more than an hour labor,
