noise from wheel
once in awhile when i make a right turn, i hear a huge thump, boom noise. it comes from my right front wheel. it kinda seems like the wheel is putting pressure on one lug and like trying to force it to pop off. i have no clue what it is. the first i thought it was the lugs being lose, but they are all tight. then i thought maybe it was too tight, but its not making noise on the other wheels.
i dont know anything about cv joints or whatever, could it be that? if it isnt, then another question, how would i know if i need to replace my cv joints?

check all of your lug nuts and if they all good look at anything that might make the sound... possibly the calipers if it happens when you brake or maybe your hub bearing is bad?
To rule out CV joint as a possibility: Bad CV joints would make a click, click, click, pop, pop, pop, sound when you turned a corner, especially a tight one. You can also, 8 times out of ten, tell because the boot will be torn and you'll have grease everywhere, like on the inside of your rim. That's if it is a new tear. Usually, when the boot tears, dirt and grime and stuff will get up in there, and over time, it will destroy the CV axel.
