New Headlights?
Ok last night for whatever reason my left headlight burned out. I wanted to get some new ones that are bright but look very blue. Does anyone know where i can get a new set for a decent price. Also where is a good place to get clear corner marker lenses and euro taillights.
Thanks
Thanks
i would advise against the headlights that "look very blue" when it starts to rain and the road turns black.. it is very difficult to see... Hella Optilux and Philips XtraVision were supposed to be good.. Im using PIAA's rite now i think.. i forget.. put them in a while ago..
Hiper White Xenon Blah blah blah - http://www.ebay.com
Eurolights - http://www.ebay.com
Clear Corners - http://www.ebay.com
If you want blue, get the Hiper ones. Cheap and blue. Not very good vision on the road though. Whatever floats your boat.

Put some 9005s in your low beam sockets. Theyre way brighter than the 9006s and you just have to trim the inside of the plugf on the bulb a little. Or, just get some HIDs.

If you want to do the 9005 conversion, I highly recommend the new Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. I just put em on my car last weekend. Very bright and very white. They are not blue at all, just intense white. Compared to stock 9006, it makes the 9006 look **** yellow.
I think they're comparable to PIAA Platinum but for half the price. Plus I trust Sylvania reliability more than PIAA.
To be specific, 9006's are rated as having an ouput of 1000 lumens, while 9005 is rated at 1700 lumens. In fact, 9005's are the brightest commercially available "normal" wattage halogen headlight bulbs.
My old car had horrid 9004's (700/1200 lumens lo/hi), so I'm loving the 9005's.

Philips HID's.
Of course in my civic, with no projector lenses, I must use Halogens...
I highly recommend the new Sylvania Silverstar bulbs
if you want the real blue Look I would say go along with some HID's but they are expensive as ****, the will run you between 550-800 depending on you location, the other options you have are focuz headlights they are reasonable they will run about 35-100 and they are good quality....

I've had 9005 bulbs in my lowbeams since June, absolutely no problems. The wires going to both sockets appear to be the same guage, so I doubt it will hurt. If you look on the actual bulbs, you will probably find that the 9006's are actually 51W and 9005's are 60W. Federal regulations allow 9005's to be as high as 70W (I think, either that or 75W), but I've never seen anything like that. In fact the only 65W 9005 I've EVER seen was the stock Koito bulb that I replaced a few months ago. Because of the variances in bulb current draw, manufacturers have to make provisions for those variances in their headlight housing and harness design. No they cannot withstand high wattage 85W and higher bulbs, but going from 51 to 60 isn't going to hurt.
