New clutch problem
I'm putting a new cltch in and I don't feel much resistance in the shift lever.
The disc is in properly with the tranny side facing the tranny. I installed the pressure plate and the fingers went flat when I tightened it down. Now that the tranny is back on the only resistance I feel is the shift fork spring. It's an exedy clutch. Is something wrong?

What kind of car and tranny??? Actually motor and tranny. I tried running a hydro clutch with an 88-91 cable tranny once. It would probably work with the 92-93 cable trannies (Integra) since their output shafts are the same size or at least very close. If you are running an S1, J1, or Y1 tranny 88-91 vintage, you need to run a clutch for it. If you are running a 92-93 clutch, or a hydro clut h, your shift lever will barely move once your tranny is installed properly. This problem set me back 2 weeks.
I think if you are using the the Exedy Organic disc, the part number is like 8088B...I think. Did you check the box when you got it to see if it was the right one or not?
