Default Need immediate axle help!!!

Last night i was driving and at one point took a u-turn and my car would just rev in place. I tried swithing gears and trying to go but it just reved. All my gears still work and my clutch works. So i was wondering it is is the axle that is mest up. And if it is do you guys know where i could get a 91 integra axle OEM for cheap. Thanx a lot for the help

For it to be the axle, it either isn't there, or it's fubared beyond any reasonable belief.

Here's some possibilities for you to check out.

Did you grind off the splines where the axle shaft inserts into the outer CV joint? Once they're smoothed out, the axle can spin in place without turning the wheel. I suppose it would make ugly noises when it first failed. If this is it, you'll see one of your axles spinning without driving it's wheel.

Did you grind off the splines at the inboard end of an axle. Same story, but you won't see any axles spinning.

Loose teeth from the differential ring gear? That would be nasty, noisy, & probably not very likely???

Break the hub of your clutch disk? Usually a spring or some shrapnel gets itself wedged into the pressure plate, then you can't DISengage your clutch. Besides, that usually makes the clutch pedal feel different.

Grind off the splines of the tranny input shaft where they go into the clutch disk?

You can get new GCK axles at Autozone too. They also come with a lifetime warranty and are about $100/axle.
