I have Skunk2 Stage 1 Turbo Cams.

And I have a 97 gsr.
I am wondering if I have to get my car dyno'd after installing the cams. And I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to install the cams. Or anyother mods I should do before or while changing the cams.

 

i assume your turbo'd right? yes you should get it tuned and also get an adjustable cam gear as well. this will help with the tunability greatly

 

No it is not turbo'd. I was kinda thinkin maybe in the future to turbo it so I went ahead and got the turbo cams.

 

wait till you get the turbo then to put them in. then tune.

 

why dont people do some research before buying things?

 

I did. My first plan was to turbo and then things changed. And I didnt no if it was worth it to put them in or not.

 

What engine management do you currently have? A 97 is OBDIIa and cannot be tuned in the normal sense.

 

it is NOT worth it to put turbo cams in a non-turbo car. For f's sake.

 

its not worth it. wait untill your boosted.
