I have a 95 GSR with (what I was told) a 96 JDM B18CR. A few weeks ago I drove my car to the gas station and filled up, car drove perfectly, came home and parked it and didnt start until 2 days later, and just like someone flipped a switch all of the sudden the car runs like CRAP! The revs jumped way up to 2500rpms and stayed there in idle and didnt drop. When I drove the car it ran very hard,misfiring, sputtering and cutting out, wont rev past 4k, huge power loss and seems to be running very rich. Im regretting buying this car without inspecting more, because every time I dig deeper I just find more stuff that makes me slap my forehead, mainly with how all of the wiring was done. Im not even 100% sure if its actually a JDM ITR engine, or what ECU I have, which has the s300 hondata chip, so its very hard trying to read up on possible problems when I dont exactly know what I have. Ive already replaced the TPS and checked the IACV, Im thinking now it could be the ecu, a bad sensor, or possibly a shorted wire somewhere. Also, might I add, I CANNOT get the CEL to flash the codes, the CEL just stays on. Im about ready to set the car ablaze so if anybody could give me some insight, it would be greatly appreciated

 

does it have a chip or does it have s300? it's one or the other.

What does the engine code on the block read? What does the code on the head read? Solid ECU and not flashing makes me believe something has happened to the ecu..
