My Teg Does Not Start Help!!
i have a 95 integra when i try to turn the motor on. It doesnt crank at all. What is the problem? Also when it's in he ON position, my cluster speed jumps to like 80 and stays there and my milage goes up. What is wrong?
Check your grounds first. If they are are good and solid, then really it sounds like two different issues.
The starting problem could be the ignition switch or the starter. Does it make any noise when you try and start it? A click, anything?
The second problem sounds like a problem with your VSS circuit. A short, a bad cluster, or a bad VSS sensor could all be culprits here. Try unplugging your VSS sensor harness down on the rear of your transmission. See if that stops the speedo problem. If it doesn't, that it's not the VSS sensor. Most likely a short in the wiring or the cluster itself.
Best of luck.

Have you checked battery voltage with a volt-meter? If battery voltage is good (12V or higher), try jumping a wire (18AWG) from your positive battery terminal to the starter solenoid spade terminal (make sure your car is in neutral, parking brake on, and the key is in the run position). If it starts, it's definitely your starter (the started solenoid to be exact) that is bad. I've run into this quite a few times.
18 gauge wire (18 gauge is the thickness). There are two connections on the starter. There is 8 gauge wire that is held down by a 12mm nut (under a black boot) and then there is a smaller black wire with a white stripe that has a slip on type connection. It also is covered with a small black boot. Pull the boot back and hold a stripped end of the 18 gauge wire onto the connection inside. Then put the other stripped end of the 18 gauge wire onto the positive battery terminal. It will spark a little and I'm guessing the car will start (or at least crank).

You want to use at least an 18 gauge wire or larger for the current load of the starter.
As far as the VSS, you can try unplugging it and plugging it back in, but I doubt that will fix it.
