Default my compression #'s are confusing

make a long story short........

at 100k miles..I did my compression test

220 across the board

at 150k miles

#1 - 180
#2 - 220
#3 - 220
#4 - 140

ok so lately the topic is changing pcv valve, so I went ahead and change it just becuase it was only a few dollor and so what the heck since it has never been changed before I mine as well......did compression again at 180k

#1 - 210
#2 - 220
#3 - 250
#4 - 205

so is that possible that changin pcv valve be able to jump up my compression when I was thinking that my rings are toast or head gasket was bad the second time I had did my compression........? Now the 3rd time just kinda confused especially with #3 cylinder at 250.......I used the same compression tester the whole time.....I did the whole thing twice just to make sure and the numbers came out the same...which it did

I'm thinking that between the first and second compression tests, there was some degree of cylinder wear causing the rings to not seal as well, thus dropping the compression numbers. It's possible that between the second and third compression tests, there was enough carbon buildup on the pistons and the combustion chamber surface that it raised the compression enough to give you the higher numbers.
