last night I crunk my car up to follow a freind to his house. Drove until it start getting warm then all of a sudden the car started to sputter and my CEL cam on. I pilled over to see what was up. everything looked normal. disconnected the battery and all and it did nothing. It crunk up a couple of times but I wanted to get it home. Driving home I noticed that the code was 4 and that It would rev above 3 grand. When it hit 3 it seemed to do a BUh BUh BUh BUH sound. I get to the house and checked timing and everything is on point. The car wont stay on or anything. It jsut cranks up,sputters then dies out.

what could the problem be. I thought it may have been the distributor but it looks fine???
