Motor Mounts???
Physically inspect your mounts....
you will be able to.. in most situations, see the break....
if it's the rear mount on the crossmember you are going to have fuuun, haha.... but it's very doable.
To resolve the broken mounts you could either buy new ones from Honda.
Buy aftermarket mounts such as Hasport, Place Racing, JimFab, etc....
You could fill your broken mounts with urethane.... i used 3M Window Weld and although it takes about 3-6 days to fully cure (thus resulting in no driving your car) they hold up extremely well and are rather stiff,
.
Lastly, and definatly not a bad choice with little downtime, would be to spend $30 or so to buy some Energy Suspension motor mount inserts....
I like the window weld better but I had an extra set of mounts so downtime wasn't an issue.... and it only cost $9 for the WindowWeld and $4 for a small box of latex gloves (which you will need).
Good Luck

Start the car, pull the e-brake, put the car in reverse and slowly let the clutch out. Give it enough gas to keep the car from stalling. You need a friend to watch the motor. If it rocks a lot you have a bad motor mount
Depending on how loud the knock is, it could also be
bad balljoints.
A bad mount would be much louder, are you able to pin point
where it coming from? Have you inspected the mounts?
If they look okay and they don't seem to be you source, LBJ
may be another item you may want to look at.

i took a look at them and my motor mounts look fine but now i'm thinkin about the ball joints i think they could be bad cause my steering is very inconsistant and the steering wobbles allot, also i noticed that its comming from the front left wheel.

MOST LIKELY
if it does move up and down also then it's your wheel bearing
since you said it only moves front to back or left to right then tie rod end....

i actually had a bolt that went from my tranny mount to my tranny ovalize the hole in my tranny so i had to tap the hole out and put in a bigger bolt with a helicoil. same clunk noise though(check it out)
sorry to bring this back up, but i get all sorts of noises in my front end...i get the same clunking noise when i start to move the car and when i come to a stop...it sounds like its in the middle, but closer to the passenger side...guess i'll try and see all the mounts sometime soon...i've tried moving my wheel around but doesnt really budge ?
