look underneath your steering wheel under the dash and look for a blue, square button and hold it with the car running until the light goes back out.....that's how it is on my 95 GSR so i'm just assuming it's the same....

lemme know if i'm right.....

That's right, it might be black though. The light is a reminder that the car is due for dealer maintenance or check your manual and look up the maintenance near your mileage. I just reset mine about a month ago.

Hey...i tried looking for this so-called button the other weekend and did not find it. I did see a round, black button though. It is to the left of the steering wheel, i believe. I have a 99...is there a chance that it is different for my car? I want to turn off the maintenance light as well. So basically, you just hold down the button with your car running? Thanks.

So yo...i just went out and tried pushing the black button to the left of my steering wheel while the car was on...no luck. I'm very interested in getting the maintenance required light turned off. Thanks.

NeoGSR, you are right. Basically, this button is not visible. It is to the right of the steering wheel, but is more toward pedals. You can feel the button...and yes, it is square. Hold it for five seconds or so while the car is running.

Ah, mine is on too. Just picked up a 2000 LS today with 32k miles. Does it come on at 30k intervals?

Comes on at 7500 intervals, that's the oil change interval. If you reset it now at 32k, it starts counting up from there and it should come back on at about 39k.

Comes up at maintenance interval points.

16k for 15k service maybe...32k for 30k service and so on. Mine just popped on for my 100k service at 103k. Just follow your service manual for the respective intervals, as its nothing specific to your car needing something a la a CEL.

Its a little button under the steering wheel above the gas pedal. Just hold it down while the car is on and the light goes away.

the button on the left of your steering wheel is for your stock alarm reset (i think). For the maintenance light, it's on the right, keep going down on the panel, then at the end of the panel, go up alittle bit, then slide your hand right-left and back, you will find the button. When you find it, turn on your key to the the last level (dont need to turn the car on) the light's gonna blink, hold the button in for a few seconds, till the light is off. Then you're ready to go.
