there's more to it than just raw power alone...

do you work on your own car?

Ya gotta think reliability and the whole money issue on this one..itr will be more reliable, but the ls/vtec if tuned correctly will produce more power..

lsvtec
just as reliable
more power for the money
cheeper and faster than an itr
for the 5k you going to spend on an itr you can build a lsvtec close to 200whp.

blah.. check these but they are canadian dollars..

OBD1 B16 Intake Manifold
'' B16 Throttle Body
'' B16 Head

$900

P72 Chipped PO7 Hondata VTEC ECU

$300

OBD1 LS Bottom 60k

$400

Install/labour..

$1000

I/H/E

$1000

160WHP, stock bottom and top end.... walk stock ITR's for under $5000???

I loved walking my first ITR with stock ls/vtec at 80K rollon! haha

ITR swap+ ECU

$5000

ITR install

$600

$5600 really worth losing to a lot of b16' ef's? nah..

I have friends who are running very very fast LS/VTEC's for the same price an ITR would be to swap in an Integra.. 190WHP compared to and ITR's number? not really comparable..

Just gotta know whos doing it, and learn how it works and its limits..

Hope that helps..

Slapped a PR3 head on a B18A block. All stock.

Took 2 1000 mile trips with setup and I rev to 8k every other day.

Depends on the builder/how you drive/maintenance.

You know which way I'm leaning.

itr motors are never worth it
they are just so over priced and over hyped. anyone that knows hot to build motors and doesent have to pay for labor is always better off building there own motor
i mean you can even buy a b16 for 1 grand and spend the extra 4 grand into moding and building it and it will put out better numbers than a stock itr
