Default Ls/vtec head studs

im doin a ls vtec set up i have a stock ls block bored .25mm with jdm type r pistons. stock crank, stock rods, arp rod bolts, acura rings and bearings, , my question is can i reuse my head bolts or should i go with a set of arp head bolts, and if so do i order them for a ls block or the gsr block cause they list v-tec and non v-tec studs. Also do i use an ls, water pump, timing belt and seals or get the type r, or gsr parts. i work in parterner shipw ith acura so i can get oem parts cheap some one help me out.

Go with some ARP head studs. Get the ones that will thread to your LS block but will fit the V-tech head. Just go on the ARP website you'll see what i mean they make an LS V-tech head stud. You have to use either the type r or gsr water pump i believe they have 22 teeth on them not sure but dont use the one that has 19 teeth go with the one that has more teeth, type r oil pump, gsr or type r timing belt and as far as the seals for the most part all the B blocks are prety much the same you can go with the LS ones.

--- Yes

--- Use the pins but you NEED to use a LS/b20 Headgasket. If you use a vtec gasket, you will have some leaks.

--- ARP Head studs for sure. In order to make a reliable LS.V set up. I would rec. buying the 8mm ARP Rod Bolts. It's a muster if you do it. Rod bolts on LS.V are the weakness in the builds.

--- You would need a Vtec ECU. P28 manual or gsr ecu. something like that. You would also need it to be OBD1 or lower to you can tune/chip it.

the 8mm bolts will fit fine, you will just need to torque them a couple times. to sit properly.
