Default ls vtec build help

So im picking up my ls block and will be going to machine shop right away i am looking for some good input on what to do for this build as in bore ratio sleeves to use etc any input willb considered and appreciated thanks

the hell is bore ratio?

you've made no mention of budget nor what you intend to accomplish with this build of yours. how the hell do you expect people to help you? help yourself first.

First off its a miss type using my phone ( bore pistons sleeves etc) as for budget i will have a 2 grand for the bottom end i am going all motor gsr head ls vtec kit not included in price above power wise not sure what to expect as this is my first b series build and have only messed with h motors hope this helps a little bit more

With 2000 to blow on the bottom end, why did you not choose a b20 bottom.

forged rods and pistons, 81.5 bore would make a rock solod bottom end that can take some nice revs without escaping

I've seen and read a lot of people (myself as well) use eagle rods without any problems. Haven't seen anyone use skunk2 rods but I figure they would b good to since everything else they make are top of the line.
