anyone know where to find an instructional guide on how to do an ls/vtec project?

Google it, there are quite a few write ups online, and the process is fairly simple.

agreed. i just got done building mine and all i can tell you is search. c-speed racing.com has a pretty good write up for an lsvtec build. if you search here on h-t you'l also find a great thread about "building a reliable lsvtec" or something like that. both of these were very helpful in my building experience.

I agree with the c-speed racing article I read it there is one thing that I would change but other than that it looks good.
