Default ls ecu differences

ok heres the story on my car. i had a 93 ls that i swaped to manual and kept the auto ecu running the engine. i then bought a 91 rs shell and swaped all the obd1 wiring harnesses over to the car and still used the ls auto ecu. so my car now has all the harnesses of the auto in it. what im wondering is would i gain any performance from swapping my auto ecu to a manual pr4,p75 or p74 ecu? ive been told that the p75 and p74 ecus have a more agressive map and a higher redline than the pr4's., is this true? the one thing that stopped me from swapping my ecu is i didnt have any cells until i swaped my auto intake manifold for a manual b18b1 IM i have no egr valve now and i have a cel and a weird idle.

the major thing im worried about is am i going to have to do any wiring to get the manual ecu to work with the auto harness?

i also have searched and didnt get a definate awnser...just 20 pages of FS adds and will this pr4 ecu work with a vt@k

If there are no CEL's, I wouldn't bother changing it.

I believe that the older ECUs were separate from the transmission control unit, so it would be the same ECU. Maybe I am just on crack.

well i have a cell now ever since i swap the auto manifold off for a b18b manifold that doesnt have a egr valve. so now im throwing a egr cel and i have a weird idle.

My LS has a weird idle too, but no CEL's. I think as long as your car isnt running like ****, then you shouldnt worry too much about it

yea it runs like absolute garbage before the cel kicks on then...it goes back to almost being normal.

yea i converted my 92 gs about a month ago i still have the original intake manifold with the egr but im running a 95 ls 5 speed ecu i had a 92 ls in there be4 and the 95 is definitly a hell of alot beter from wat i feel just look arund for one not to hard to find. and when u swap to a 5 speed ecu it bypass' the egr valve and the black emissions box on the firewall
