Springs or coilovers. Springs will run $150-200, and the install anywhere from $75-300. Coilovers can run from $400-$2000 depending on brand and what shocks/struts you use, but you can raise or lower the car anytime you want to, several inches up or down. Install price would be the same.

You can install yourself, its really a cake job.. i recommend coilovers, easier to install, and adjustable, so you can pick your own height,
And really they cost about the same to do spring and shock or coilovers, b/c if you go the spring and shock route, you can't just do springs, you'll blow your stock shocks, so you need some good aftermarket shocks as well..

so if i bought springs they would be non adjustable? and as far as the wheels im guessing they'd have to be tucked because the body would ply be riding on the wheel then? If that is the correct term, that would be professionally done? Like everyone else, i wanna do it as cheap as possible, but id rather spend the extra money than buy garbage. Do i need new shocks or struts or will my stocks be ok?

can anyone recommend good coilover brands? Why are they rediculously cheap on ebay. I mean im guilty of an ebay special intake (works fine), but if coilovers go for around 400 why are they like 40 bucks on ebay.

This is pretty much the most prefered setup, but if it is too expensive then you can go with a different shock but keep the ground controls.

good luck

i just redid all my suspension, because the guy that did it b4 had coilovers on kybg struts which are aftermarket OEM shocks....

kybg is a oem brand except it is aftermarket not factory, they arent performance struts, so the problem he had was coilovers on basically OEM struts = bad.

If u just wanna lower yer car get springs and not coilovers or else yer replacing yer struts too..

1 of three things will happen to yer ride if you use oem struts with coilovers unless you get lucky for a time period like some braggers i see on forums.

1.) ur ride becomes a tank and feel EVERYTHING and have the most uncomfertable ride ever.

or

2.) ur springs just bounce around causing noises thjats unabrable and embarasing because its like u have no bumpstops
or

3.) the coilovers will cause the struts to blow out all together and you have to replace yer struts, and basicaly replace yer springs because ittl either hurt the sleeves or dmg the springs anyway...

what you need for a setup is, and what i believe sells on ebay for like 750$ us. is the skunk2 complete suspension kits...

comes with everything aftermarket performance struts and springs, all assecories and tools that is required + free shipping in most us locations...

search for integra skunk2 suspension kit. u will find it

this will make ur ride smooth, be able to lower and raise yer car at yer settings or w/e u want. when u want. and have durable life on the suspension.

though the only downside with going at suspension is you need a camber kit for the front atleast, which goes for around 150$ + shipping on ebay

just search for integra front caber kit, look for the a frame kits.. to make yer front camber positive or neutral to zero so your tires ride flush instead of being tipped inward from the top wearing out the inside of yer tires... youcan get away with this for a while but a rotation of tires after everythgins flush would be nice to distribute the wear to save yer tires and $ right away.

then u need a wheel alignment, because adjusting yer car even half an inch throws it off and riding with no wheel alignment = bad situations in hwy driving or even street driving if the right bulslhit occurs this = another teg in the scrap yard..

for the rear you can use washers on the bolts to adjust yer camber due to the fact no A frame is used. this is called a trick to some people, or saving money to the next, w/e u wanna do.

i hope this helps im still new here but know a little info and im drunk right now jus tcame from a bar watching no way out wwe, bare with me haha and excuse the typo's.

Personally I would use spring because coilover bounce too much if you purchase the cheap brand.. but if you are looking into getting strut too then coil over would be good because the strut allow you to adjust the stiffness of the car. With spring if you are looking at dropping 2" you should buy a 1.5" spring because after a while it will drop another half in. It really depend some spring out there are non-flex that will not drop and will stay the exact height. After you drop your car be sure to adjust your camber. Some place will do it for cheap by just adding some washer in. Some required you to buy the camber kit. 200$ + for the kits

Instead of feeding him with parts he should buy, he should be directed to learn how this stuff functions first.
