90 Integra

I'm replacing my lower balljoints and can't get them off, I already removed the retaining ring and cant get enough leverage to hit it with a hammer. How do I get it off?

 

You won't be able to get them out with a hammer. The best way would be to take the knuckles off the car, and get a machine shop to replace the balljoints with a machine press.

If the above is not an option, use a decent size c-clamp, and a large socket to press the old ones out yourself. The socket is not needed to put the new ones back in.

 

Man, I hated that clanging sound before I replaced them. It sounded horrible, like a broken motor mount.
