Default loose strut.

ive got a 92 gsr, and my left front tokico white is kind of loose. the "threaded piece", for lack of a better term, that comes up in the center of the shock tower with the nut on it turns when i try to tighten down the nut, does this mean the whole strut will need to be replaced?

I forget on those ones, but most struts have a way to hold the shaft while you tighten the nut. Usually with an allen wrench in the top, or a flat spot for a crescent wrench or whatever. Unless it's rusty/corroded, you can usually just zap it tight with an impact gun.

be careful. i've heard of some people stripping the threads on their tokico's doing that.

Yes, definitely be careful. For struts, I like to use my 3/8" gun and use short quick trigger pulls. The starting/stopping helps the nut turn instead of just spinning the shaft, and it keeps you from over tightening.
