Default Looking for power!!

ok guys here is the situation. My car is a 2001 GS-R so I'm trying to find as much bolt on performance as possible till later and I do mean later as in maybe 2 years (cause of warranty issues) until I get boost. Performance wise not including suspension I have an intake and exhaust. I know I can get a header and plan on getting a 4-1 but I want more. I was thinking about purchasing a Skunk 2 intake manifold and a larger throttle body and maybe a fuel pressure regulator. Do you think this is benifical? What else would I need? How big of a throttle body should I get? Please hammer me with info I ready to read whatever you throw at me. Thanks for the help guys!!

I say if you want the most performance you can get.....go with a set of cams and a good valvetrain.

You'll probably be ditching the headers and intake when you boost so that's a waste of money. Reselling those items might get you $100 if your lucky and you're probably spending like close to $500 new.

Look at Crower for example and do some research into some nice turbo cams. Some give you power up pretty high so if you go with valve springs and retainers you can increase your redline.

This is good with boost later because you want to stay in boost for as long as possible. Just make sure you don't get a cam that's too lumpy. Too much overlap is bad for forced induction.

I might get flamed for this, but I made the mistake of getting i/h/e and now I have turbo. It was such a waste of money for me because the power gains are pretty much negligible compared to turbo.

My opinion is to spend a little maybe to get your car to look nicer and some suspension stuff. Get some cams....then start to save save save for boost.

actually you can use the skunk2 intake manifold and the throttle body with turbo. So all I will be out is a header which isn't that big of deal to me since I won't be getting turbo for two years at the earliest cause of warranty. This is a reason why I can't get cams since this will also void my warranty anyone else have any suggestions??

Well I take it you aren't gonna bust out any internals (cams, valves, pistons, rods, etc). So best modding around that would be i/h/e, Spoon TB, Skunk2 IM, JDM ITR final drive, Apexi V-AFC, and prep for turbo w/ high flow injectors, AEM fuel rail & fuel pump, 2 plate clutch, JUN flywheel, and get an LS tranny in the basement.

If you're worried about warranty probs, just buy stuff that is easy to strip off and replace. (don't worry bout that JDM final drive, no one's gonna check )
