lca bolt question

the bolts on my lca's were seized so i had to cut them out (both lca to strut bolts and one one of the outermost bolts). i bought 3 new bushings but i did not feel like spending $8 per bolt for the new bolts.

i went to aco hardware and picked up some GRADE 8 bolts that were almost the exact same size. so my questions is, will those bolts work or should i get the acura ones?

same thing happened to me a while ago, and I had to use some cheap ass bolt that wasn't even grade 8, and I rode on that all through winter and never had any problems...then again, I am redoing my suspension again now and will be going to the dealer to get those 8 dollar bolts to replace my old ones just for good measure this time. Dealer prices https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif . OEM quality https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif .

I think you need grade 10 for suspension stuff, but I may be wrong

Re: (boostinb20vtec)

Back when I first installed my stuff, I picked up some Grade 10.3 bolts in the exact size (a tad longer but same size and pitch) from Pep Boys and some washers to go with it. I ended up not using them because all my bolts came out w/o any problems. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
