lately ive been hearing a small knocking sound coming from my engine bay whenever i accerlerate from 0 mph or brake to 0 mph. i know its not my valves because i only hear the knock once. anyone know whats making the sound? could it be a bad engine mount?

Is it a knock or a more of a click...? If it doesn't continue to do it as you accelerate, or you can't hear it, it's prolly a busted axle boot... Jack up your front and look under inside both of your wheels and see if there is a bunch of shitty grease in there...

 

thanks for the info, but its not an axel boot. it sounds like a deep click after i drop the clutch and put into first or when i brake. it doesnt do it all of the time, only every once in a while. my friend has the same noise in his g60 corrado and he doesnt know what it is, so far it hasnt seemed to screw up his performance.

 

sounds like a bad motor mount check them out ... mainly the rear one

 

damn i have that same noise (its very frustrating)...have you found a the problem??...thanks for any info
