K&N Replacement Filter
Sup,
I went to a shop to order a K&N replacement filter for my 1998
Integra, but the shop owner said there isn't one made for my car. Some how only 93 and earlier models get this filter. Is that true? That would really suck if it were, cause I want a reusable filter

Check out K&N's homepage ( www.knfilters.com ). It will tell you if they have the filter for your model, which I'm sure they do. They also have the FIPK, K&N's version of a CAI. I dunno how well it performs.. anyone tried it?
Yeah, http://www.knfilters.com listed item E-2427 for all 1.8L L4 F/I Integras.
So I am hoping.
If they do have the filter, where do you guys recommand to order from?

I would save the money you are going to buy a K&N with and put it towards a CAI....I think it is a better investment, cause you'll end up buying it anyways. Plus, the CAI's sound awesome!! Just my thoughts!!

My thought, too.
I've tried replacing just the filter before on my car. No good...doesn't make an appreciable difference. If you save your pennies a little longer, you can get a CAI, which will make a BIG difference for your money. Much sharper throttle response, easier revving, plus a few more horsies. That, and a CAI retains these benefits more than a short ram after the car has been running for a while. Plus, it makes your 'Teg sound like Son of Ferrari.
ya...I've found that the only cars you can really tell a difference in are the factory turbo'd engines. I had a 91 Eclipse GS turbo and we put a K&N on in it and it made a huge difference and thats what was on there until after we did the VPC and FMIC, then we finally added a CAI.

for a integra don't waste money on a drop in, just get the CAI you will be better off.

Nope.....the wheel locked up on it in April on the freeway and to make a long story short, they estimated the damage on the outside of the car at 12, 000.00. None of the after-market parts were hurt, so we bought the car back for a 100.00 and sold everything. Now we have a WRX. Is your talon AWD and have you run it at the track?? If you wanna make some mad power, but cant afford the supra....DSM's are an awesome bang for the buck.
