im getting a deal on a jdm b18c complete swap for $2000.
but idk if it is stolen or not and he doesnt have paperwork on the motor...he said he bought it from hmotorsonline .. so is a jdm motor trackable here in the us??

 

naw who cares just dont let the state know you got a motor swap.

 

dont worry if he says he got it from h motors. im getting one from steve also.

dont worry bout paper work on the motor its jdm. all you should worry bout is the smog guy (if he cares or not). they should always pass.

the jdm engines from hmotors have around 30,000 miles. almost new for a honda.

 

yea but is there a way the cops can tell if its stolen if they pull me over and check the vins??
and how hard is it to take the axle off because the motor is still in his car???

 

if its a jdm engine, i dont think they can really tell. the only thing is it wont match the car and at that point its a used engine, not stollen.
hmotors isnt gonna sell a stolen engine. and if the engine was stollen after it was imported, its not gonna show up as stollen.

the axle comes off with a pry bar/big screw driver. there is a clip on the axle inside the trans that holds it in but will compress when you pry it out.
