Default ITR muffler question...

Ok, I got my custom 2.25" piping done at a local shop w/ a MaxSpeed muffler(Tanabe Racing Medallion knock-off), since the ITR exhaust piping is 2.25" would it be better or bad to replace my old muffler with a stock ITR muffler? Also would I gain anything by switching to a ITR muffler? I know it'll be alot quieter, but would it give more power than running the muffler I have now?

I assume the muffler you are currently running is a straight-through design with piping that is at least 2.25". Since the ITR muffler is chambered and not 2.25" throughout, it is not going to flow as well, and thus not yield as much power. That being said, on most setups the difference between the two will likely not be terribly significant.

Ok, thanks for the info, gues i'll just stick with the one I got, probably wanna change the muffler to a universal Tanabe G-power or Hyper Medallion or a Apex WS muffler.
