Default intermittent speedometer issues

speedo has been conking out for some time now mostly during colder months.
this creates a no cruise no vtec no odometer or trip odometer situation as well.
not the end of the world as tach gives a good indication of speed but still not great.
replaced speed sensor/ sensor pigtail/gauge cluster/maint reminder unit/ cruise control dash unit/cruise steering wheel switch all to no avail. read tons of threads for months and finally some super guru said brake light switch
could be the culprit since it's part of the cruise circuit. how did i miss that!? because i'm an idiot!
it's a 2-3 hour job since it's impossible to access the rear of the switch plug after install without dropping the steering column but the issue is finally resolved. :w00t:!! 8)
now i have lots of parts cannon leftovers so if you want free parts just pm me.
