intermittent code 15 on 91 integra
stock 91 integra
Car was running fine for 15k miles, then 2 days ago my friend accidentally left the lights on while he was at work and killed the battery. He got a jump and the car fired right up. On the way home, about 5 miles int the trip, the car shut off. He pulled over and tried to start it but the car just cranked and wouldn't start. After waiting about 2 minutes the car started up and ran fine all the way back another 10 miles. Since then the car has been doing the same thing at what seems to be completely random times in a variety of different driving situations, IE high speeds, low speeds, different gears.
When i looked at the car today i pulled code 15 = ignition output signal. we cleared the code and drove it hoping it would die so i could experience what he was talking about, but the car kept running fine. he left the shop and called me a few minutes later saying it had done it again. I have gone over the connections to the distributor and popped the cap and inspected everything. everything looks almost new. the only other thing my friend has noticed is that the clock no longer holds the time and resets every time the car is shut off, but he is unsure if this problem arrived at the same time as this condition.
My next steps will be to check the yel/blk wire at the distributor for 12v, and then depending check the wires at b15 and b17 against a18 at the ecu.
Any information, advise, or speculation is appreciated.
thanks in advance

I replaced the ignitor and it seems to have fixed the problem. I am not sure about other years but the obd0 ignitor i needed for a 90-91 integra was the same part number for 88-91 civic / crxs. i stole the ignitor out of an old 89 crx si dizzy i had.
hope this helps someone in the future.
