I blew two trannys on my 92 ls

Is it true that the integra trannys are cursed.

 

Sounds like bad luck to me. I have completly raped my tranny and it is fine.

Mine was definitely cursed....it's been rather UNsmooth since about 50k miles (now at 100k), but I have learned to live with it, and fortunately, Integra trannies are easy to get and fairly cheap....just think of them as "disposable" ha ha

 

I know how to drive


first one, the previous A hole, was driving it around with no oil tranny oil.
second one, i got it rebuilt, and it busted after about 4 months

 

Listen to yourself man. The tranny was abused, then rebuilt and you're expecting it to work like a champ? Honda manual transmissions aren't notorious for failure.

 

What actually went wrong?

 

maybe i was not clear.

When i bought the car, it has old dirty, fuilty, <FONT COLOR="black">black</FONT> tranny oil inside. ofocourse i couldn't see it, the car ran just fine. One day in the morning it just gave up.
open it up turned out that there was very little and bad oil in the tranny.

Than i gave that tranny to the macanic for him to keep.
the macanic had an b16 s1 tranny rebuilt, he put in my car.
after about 4 months of regular driving, couple of races.
now when i shift the synchros make the lovely noise.

i hope i'm clear now.

 

I don't know about you guys but I raced the **** out of my first ls tranny and clutch and it still lasted me over six years until the clutch went out and my second and fourth gear went out. I guess it's the driver
