There is no way you can avoid the suggestion of LS vtec. Our heads just have bad airflow. Being that you are in Cali you can't legally run LSV if that is the concern. The only option for the best power is a swap but you don't want to go in that direction right? So pretty much all you can do is change the valvetrain and slap the turbo on her.

Nice and clean. I built my ls. I put lower compression pistons, forged rods then replaced everything in my head and got it ported and polished for more flow. I also got oversized intake valves but that might be excessive depending on what you want. From the reading I've done I've heard ls heads are good up to about 400 hp. There's a good ls turbo thread on the forced induction forum I'd check out, I've learned a lot from there about our motors...

Pretty sure a ported and polished Ls head will still flow worse than a stock b16 or b18c head, so you're wasting your money doing that if you plan to turbo it anyways. Just build the bottom end and get a nice turbo and a tune. You will gain a lot more power by saving the money you would spend on a head and buying a top of the line turbo. Don't cheap out on tuning, and don't cheap out and use a safc. I'd suggest hondata s300 also. Good luck, car looks awesome.

well, since he lives in cali and its already been said that he can't do an ls/vtec, and he doen't want to swap, i'd say he's set on using his ls motor. as far as the bottom end goes, look in the ls/turbo thread, as stated above, and there are plenty of people pushing 400 hp with a stock ls. cams would be helpful, but not necessarily a must. not sure what kind of power you are looking to get, but to me, 400 hp is a pretty good number. 300 would be a little cheaper of course and both are very attainable with an ls/turbo setup.

I think ur teg looks pretty good. I also think that you should keep the tint if you like it and not be so mainstream. It makes it unique lookin, and not so much in a bad way. Good luck with the build
