Default Integra Engine Build

Hey guys im sure there are tons of post but need some insight. I purchased a 94 ls from a friend that required a clutch but now got into it and all the seals are leaking and have removed the engine. I have my ls block complete with a ton of miles on it but its really clean. I have purchased a set of civic type r pistons, new rings, bearings, along with a vtec conversion kit. I plan on putting a b16 head off a 2000 civic sir that is stock. Im getting tight on money, with this set up require anything else, and I can leave this on obd1? Im almost out of money for this build and still have not painted the primer any ideas guys. The head does not have an intake so unsure what manifold I can go with. thx for any info guys.

You can run a B16 intake or a Type-R intake. Yes you can leave it obd1.

List everything you have to make it easier for us to see what u all have.

Questions I have for you:

Do you have headbolts already?
Have you factored in all the little costs that add up quickly? (example, sparkplugs, coolant, oil, oil filter, etc.)

im not stressed about collent or plugs as my buddy works for parts dept at a honda dealership. so far i have a full ls engine, and a sir engine from a 2000, the sir motor is complete head to intake which i will use and the bottom end i will scrap or sell, but someone has told me that the sir pistons would work good in the ls engine and if thats true i can return my type r pistons. i will also purchase the golden eagle kit, as for pcm and harness and anything else im lost. I do have tech back ground but only with mustangs this is new to me.

Both pistons will work and will be better then using the LS pistons. This ofcourse is keeping in mind that you need to run the LS rods, lol. Your going to want to run ARP rod bolts if your using LS rods as they are a weak link. In reality you can get a nice set of Eagle rods with ARP's for like $350. I'd sooner suggest that then using stock LS rods.

I'll let you know when it comes to LS/V's, building one correctly is the key to having it last. They are nice because of the added stroke, which is why these are still being built. LS/V's aren't very forgiving when built wrong, but when built right will put a smile on your face. The added TQ is noticable over GSR's and B18C5's. If you go over bore it only gets better from here.

You can run anything from a chipped p06 to a chipped p28, etc. For simplicity I'd run a p28 that's chipped as it's obd1 already and vtec. Either way your looking at a street tune to get it running correctly and properly.

The ls trans will hold an na ls/v with no issues. That being said the ls trans is not a great trans to run when na. You'll have to suffer a bit with the longer gears till you get something else. An itr trans would be great for an na but even a b16 trans willbe miles ahead of an ls
