installing fender
how hard is it to install a fender on a 99 gsr? I have a feeling its gonna be one of those things that looks easy until you try it. Anybody have any experience/tips? Thanks!
not hard. just a bunch of bolts. there's a couple behind the door, so you gotta open the door to get at those....a few in the engine bay, might be a couple under the bumper, and maybe one or two down by the mudflap.
I just took them off my 96ls. It isn't hard at all, just take your time and don't try to just pull it off. Heres a hint too, there are like two bolts behing the bottom-side moulding (black strip below the door). You have to remove that strip to get to those bolts. When removing the strip just undo the plastic screws under the car and SLIDE the black moulding forward to release it (there are clips that you can't see) The only other tricky part is undoing the fender from the bumper, but all you have to do is release these little white clips by pressing in a tab (on the bumper side not the fender side; in other words the clip stays attached to the fender).
You should have posted earlier, I woulda taken pictures today.
I just replaced my front clip today.
The fenders are pretty easy, just be careful not to scratch anything.
Steps
1 - Remove the front bumper, click this TI link for instuctions http://www.team-integra.net/sections...p?ArticleID=68
2 - Remove the screws connecting the plastic fender lining & the fender, just the outside row is enough, the inside row you can leave alone.
3 - Remove the factory side skirts. 5-6 plastic screws running along underside of the length of the car. After the screws are out, go towards the rear of the car and push the side skirt foward now pull perpendicular to the length of the car.
4- Use a 10mm to remove 3 top bolts on the fender under the hood. Open the door and you should see 1 more bolt to remove. On the bottom of the fenderhere are 2 more bolts. 6 10mm bolts in total.
