Default Ignition Trouble

Ok having a problem with the new DA. When I go to turn hte car off and pull the key out. Car turns off but I cant turn it all the way left to the off position and pull it out. It takes a lot of playing with it to finally get it off. So prolly have to change out the ignition switch??

Whats involved in removing the ignition and where can I get one for a good price.

I have a 95' and I have had that problem a few times. I say don't worry about it unless it turns into a constant thing. It only happens to me like once every month. Just fiddle with it.

ive changed out the ignition for my old honda accord..im pretty sure there all the same. but once you get the houseing off the steering wheel you'll see the dead bolt that holds the ignition switch in. your going to have to get a hammer and a punch to get it out. inorder to do this you have to slowly, i mean slowly turn the dead bolt by punching it out. there should be two bolts. and you can get a used igniton switch with key for about 150 bucks at the junk yard.

How do I get that lower dash off?? I got the screws all off and cant get it pulled off. Seems like some clips are still holding it.

sounds like you need a new key cylinder.

i'd say parts and getting it recoded would cost about $70-$130 from the dealer.

good luck with it!
