So today i went to school and my teggy turned on all normal, so when i got out i got in my car put the key in but no lights on the cluster turned on at all only the stereo, so i went all the way to start ignition pushed on the clutch and the car started but as soon as i let go the clutch it turned off, so this is a problem with my ignition key or my ignition control module??? or something else? hopefully i get to fix this problem with your help thanks!

 

Did you happen to leave it in 1st and stalled when you let go of the clutch? When you put your key in the ignition and don't turn it at all, you will only see a flashing green key on the dash if you have 2000 and up Integra with an immobilizer (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong), if you turn it to the next one, you have your clock and stereo, then the next turn is clock, stereo, ac/heater, and power windows, and finally clutch in and turning it all the way starts the car... sounds normal to me.

 

no it was on neutral, and its a 96 and it only have 3 turns the first one its to unlock the steering, the second it turns all the lights on the cluster and the third its to start it, so my car on the first and second turn doesnt do anything till the third witch its the start, so if i hold the key there and press on the clutch the car would turn on and i could hear the started on still so i had to let it go otherwise i would messed up the started, so idk

 

I'm thinking there could be something wrong with the clutch safety switch.

 

so thats why my ignition its not responding cus of the clutch safety switch?

 

no have you stress tested the ign sys with a HEI tester I'm not saying it's the coil going bad.
