For $450 you're not going to find anything better. Just make sure it's a real hytech piece.

That's a great deal for a hytech header alone.

if it's one of his one off headers, and for originally $1200 it better be, it will have hytech engraved on the head flange.

what type of motor is this header coming off of? as john at hytech designs each header to match the engine setup it will be used on. piping lengths and diameters play a big role in where the power is made and how much.

the production headers dont. but i think they will still have a plate with hytech welded onto one of the primaries.

if did indeed pay $1200 for it when it was new it is not the production header. sounds like he's just blowing smoke up your *** now. this is what the production headers look like: http://theoldone.com/component...s.htm

I also noticed in the second pic you posted that there's a sizeable dent on one of the tubes.

This all smells pretty fishy to me... why don't you ask him for his receipt?

he has the receipt but he also has a hytech header on his car... he said he bought a new one but his receipt dosent mean anything..the receipts for a itr reproduction header and the owner of hytech said the name is not stamped into the flange on a repo header.. so could this be a itr header and how bad is that dent and road rash..worth puttin on over my stock header?

Dents and crap like that harm flow. It's not worth it to get it over you stock header. Look for a different header. Blow the kid off. He's a lying *****.
