how much gain will a skunk2 intake manifold get me? will it be noticable? im also thinking about getting skunk2 camshafts, but i dont know which stage to get. either 1 or 2. anyone have any advice on which to get? also will i notice the difference with just cam gears and stock camshafts

Stage 2 makes 8wHP more than Stage 1's i heard. Plus you need to upgrade your Valvetrain which costs alot of money. Stage 1's are better for droppin in. Very compatable with your Stock Valvetrain. Skunk2 IM will be a very good mod if you get these cams.

 

it is true that skunk 2 stage 2 makes only 8whp more than the stage 1, but that is with stock compression, drop in some Itr pistions or some ctr pistions and you will make as much as 15-20 whp more than the stage 1's

big cams ie: skunk2 stage 2, toda b's and c's and jun 3's love compression and a high redline

 

be sure to check the compression closely, and what octane you can get locally.

 

if you were to drop in the S2 manifold right now you'd loose low to mid range and gain a little up top, i dont personally recomend getting the manifold unless youre FI or have some aggressive cams, but if youre gonna get cams then

 

Just get Stage 1's and you won't have to worry about anything else. They make more mid/high end power than CTR cams and they work very well with your Stock Valvetrain.
