Default How to install a cf trunk on a dc??

Iam about to purchase a cf trunk for my dc and wanted a little head up on how to install?remove it...I know the whole trunk portion must come off, but as far as removing the actual trunk from the glass?..is it screwed on?..clued?..any advice?

should be 3m adheasive (sp?) around the edges and bolts

it's glued on with a rubbery sealant. if you're going for weight reduction i'd recommend getting some kind of plastic or plexiglass rear window instead of reusing the glass one, the heaviest part of the hatch is the glass.

I had a cf hatch and fal lexan glass on there. it had a little more road noise but didn't leak in the rain and didn't vibrate. I recommend the FAL lexan cuz then what is the point of just putting factory glass in a cf hatch

well i figured i get a cf trunk for a couple of reasons.My oem trunk has holes for the wing so i dont want to pay for body work on it, i also was in an accident a while back and it bent just a bit so it wouldnt sit flush, so i said wat the heck why not a cf trunk, it was a good deal to $350 oem vis

through a friend, he has a hook up at some shop he knows. But yea thats basically why i ended up buying it..I was qouted $750 at pitcrew so i saved some money for sure..
