how do i aim the headlights

how do i aim the headlights
i cant find the adjustment screws on them, trying to raise the beam on the hids, came with car. dont know how the old owner had like this. they only go out 20 or 30 feet

is the vertical on e the one thats looks like a black cylinder with with spring in it? tryed one of them before and it didnt seem to do anything, also felt extremely loose or easy to turn
