Default Higher redline?

Okay, I have a mostly stock (axle-back exhaust for now) '94 GSR, and after I do a few more things (CAI, rest of exhaust, header, cat/testpipe, I was thinking about raising the redline using an upgraded ECU. Besides the ECU, what would I need to buy/modify to go to say, 8400 rpm? Thanks

Would Type R cams be a painless install, or would other stuff need to be change to put them in?

u need head work for higher redline.

generally for a higher redline people have better cams, better springs and p/p job.

better valves for higher temps is also a good thing to have
