Higher redline
I have searched this subject extensively.... I already know that i wanna go with a ctr intake cam... but i also wanna redline higher and would prefer to stick with oem for internals... Would a ctr or itr valvetrain be sufficicient to hold up to 9000 rpm?? Or would it be a waste to even go that high? I have a very healthy b18c1 with only 70k miles... I want the ctr cam for sure... but the valvetrain im still questioning... what valvetrain should i do?

1 question, why would you want to rev to 9k? Almost all cams on the market, with the exception of strip only cams (which are mostly one off cams anyways), wont make power that high. Most all cams are designed to pull harder within the car's rev range, all try to eliminate the lack of low rpm grunt and improve midrange vtec pull rather than make it rev at 9 and 10k. Skip the 9k idea and go for a cam that will give you a little more low end and will pull harder when the vtec kicks in.
