I just swapped a gsr motor into a 00 gsr body...everything works good except forgot to plug in the spedometer =P theres some cel's...and for some reason it idles at 1.5k ?!

why does it idle so high? did i miss a plug? ...i didnt connect a few things such as the charcoal canister...and some electrical plugs dont match up...(jdm b18c 93 motor)

 

check for vaccum leak

 

mess with the distributor, advance it or retard it... that shud do it

 

did you ever find out the problem? Im having the same problem.

 

I swapped my intake manifold for a SK2 and I have the same problem. My CEL is on because if the Inlet air temp sensor and the idle speed sensor

 

u should get a chip to manage vtec better with that single stage manifold
